Enjoying the new me

Now that I have lost the weight, I am determined to keep it off and become fitter. I have learned a few lessons this time that will help - track what I eat, all the time; keep active; one big meal doesn't mean give up; if you really crave something, eat it, because nothing else will satisfy and I'll keep substituting until I eat whatever it was I wanted in the first place.

I've lost large amounts of weight many times. And I've also sworn each time was the last. I'm determined to make enough changes in the way I live to maintain a healthy weight, however long it takes.

Tap dancing is one of the better changes I've made. I've studied tap since 2003, and I love it. I'd like to welcome you to the Tap Dancers team. Stop by and get acquainted sometime. We love to meet other tap dancers.

I'll be 58 in May. It is so much harder to lose now than when I was younger. Probably triple the work, but still worth it. I don't want my poor knees and feet to have to carry me around at high weight anymore.

Welcome............most of us have lost weight with the full intention of keeping it off, then we seem to forget that we can't go back to our old ways. It is kind of a bummer. Work so hard, get the weight off and then, darn, we still have to watch it. That is really my greatest fear when I get to goal. Keeping it off. So glad you're here and I hope Spark will be a big help to you. It sure has been a great place for me. Once I get to goal, no matter what, I'm still going to track my food daily so I never have to start again.
