Personal Information:
Indiana country girl.
Born and raised in a small town and have lived in the country since I was married. My husband and I have two daughters and 7 grandchildren. We both work from home and stay busy with our work, family, dogs, cats, chickens and a few cows. We grow a big garden with lots of flowers. We enjoy hiking, going to small town festivals, antiquing, yard sales and family gatherings. I also like going to the mall!!!!
I am an artist in my soul and love to decorate, paint, craft and just be creative. Currently re-learning to sew and trying my hand at mosaics.

Other Information:
What I am doing now to maintain and improve:
Eat 1200 - 1400 calories per day. Eat lots of protein and vegetables prepared w/o butter, fat, creams or cheeses (most of the time). I try to eat at least half of my fruits and veggies raw. I incorporate small amounts of olives, avocado, nuts and non-fat plain yogurt into my diet. Breads and pastas are limited to 3 or 4 meals a week.
I am a late bloomer on consistent exercise, but I am now getting in about 30-45 min of exercise a day--from almost 0 min.at the beginning. I do walking/jogging intervals for about 30 min.every other day. Weights, yoga, etc. about a half an hour to 45 min. every other day. I mix it up sometimes--from doing dance videos with my daughter or going for a long weekend hike or whatever else beckons.

Thank you so much for your comment on my page and congratulations on all of your success!!!

After one year of maintenance I was definitely still battling it out every day with the beast. Still, to this day, I battle. It's definitely getting better with time, but you're right. Our "template" is permanently altered and our metabolisms confused. The weight wants desperately to come back. I'm sure it will be a life-time struggle for me... but I'm just thankful to be where I am now vs. where I was then. I keep my boxing gloves on, that's for sure!!!

Nice to meet you!

"Many things are simply not going to happen with just one, or three, or even a dozen attempts. Yet anything becomes possible with enough persistence.
Keep going, and allow your efforts to build upon one another. Keep going, and transform the disappointments into achievements.
You have what it takes to keep going, because all it ever takes is just one more step forward.
Keep going, and work your way steadily to the richest rewards you can imagine."
-- Ralph Marston

Success is a Choice
-Unknown
"Today I will make many choices, and each will have a consequence. Today I can choose to tell myself that I am worth the effort, or I can tell myself doesn't matter, I'll do it tomorrow. Today I can choose to journal, or I can choose not to. Today I can choose to drink my water, or I can choose to be
dehydrated. Today I can choose to stay in my points range, or I can choose to hinder my goals. Today I can choose to be more active, or I can choose to take the easy way. Today I can choose to be motivated, or I can choose to tell myself "I can't." Today I can choose success. IT IS MY CHOICE."

Stopping by to wish you a great week, Sparkfriend! Keep doing your best to reach your goals...its up to you, and you know you're worth the effort, right?
Hugs,
Pixie
