I want to get healthier as holistically as possible.
I want to lose weight and fight fibromyalgia and arthritis pain symptoms and high blood pressure and uveitis and edema as holistically as possible.I am tired of side effects from medications taken to help with health problems...just leads to more problems and doesn't even seem to control problems I am taking them for.Want to eat healthy and take vitamin and mineral supplements if necessary but no prescription drugs with all their side effects. I avoid exercise because it is too painful need to find exercise I can do that is not causing more pain. I can't even walk more than a block or two without stopping to sit down and rest due to muscle tightness and shortness of breath. Need to find easy exercises to help lose weight and learn portion control and better nutrition and eating habits.Also need help getting sleep. Never get more than a couple of hours at a time and then when I wake up it is hard to fall back asleep so am always tired with low energy and lots of pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis....falling apart in my old age. Currently doing walking exercises that are helping my endurance. Still have sleeping problem but seem to go into a deeper sleep now and maybe sleep a little longer than before so some improvement.

My Goals:
I want to eat healthier and lose weight and control my fibromyalgia and arthritis pain and high blood pressure and inflammation in my eyes as holistically as possible with food and supplements. Trying to avoid prescription drugs unless absolutely necessary. Dislike side effects from drugs.I want to live as green as possible.
My Program:
I am using the nutrition tracker to keep track of calories and it is working. Currently have lost 24 lbs. so am averaging the 2 lbs per week that they say you will lose if you stick with the plan. I found gentle exercises not specifically for people with fibromyalgia and arthritis. On Real Age.com I found two exercise workout videos walking part one and two that I am able to do to walk the equivalent of one or two miles per day. So far am sticking with the one mile per day but doing at least three times per week. Intend to work my way up to the two miles. I also got shape up shoes and tried their 15 min exercises. I can't do all of them but do the best I can. I am trying to walk more and do notice my endurance increasing. I used to have to stop and sit down and rest every block or so.Now I can make it two, three ,sometimes even four blocks before stopping to rest so definitely seeing great results. Also sometimes do Coach Nicole's walking workout dvd program. Try to switch it up.

Other Information:
Worked in theater and film most of my life and enjoyed it immensely.
