My Goals:
A balanced life that includes meditation, writing, exercise, and moderate eating with less sugar.
A healthy back!

My Program:
Build habits with 2-week streaks. Starting 3rd streak in mid-August. Daily exercise min 12 minutes, under 1500 calories per day (goal 1200), don't eat standing up or in front of computer/tv.

Personal Information:
I live in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, a very walkable community. after running my own marketing firm for 18 years, I'm recently returned to my creative writing roots while I care fulltime for my husband who was diagnosed with ALS in March 2009. I have three children in their 20s and a 1-year-old granddaughter who lives right behind us!

Other Information:
I love getting out to parks and art museums. I clear my mind by playing Pocket Frogs on my iPad.

Hello Pam,
I am pretty new to SparkPeople (joined 6-25-11) but I just wanted to say some of your blogs really resonated with me. I had a friend with a sister married to a man who had ALS and heard about some of those struggles. Also I feel I am an emotional eater too. Sometimes it is so obvious that I am not wanting to eat because of hunger but its something else on my mind. Anyway I just wanted to wish you luck with your goals and I'll try to get some of the balance you are striving for too.
