Hi everyone!!! My name is Pam and and by avoiding weighing myself, I've created the self-illusion that I didn't gain weight.

40 lbs later, here I am...looking for POSITIVE motivation and some accountability finally!

At 5'9, a goal weight for me is 140. I'm about a size 4 at that weight. But even though that's my ultimate goal, I'll be excited to lose even 5 lbs and get this process started! Instead of being upset or overwhelmed by the amount of weigh I have to lose, I'm going to look at it as positively as I can and hopefully some humor (along with the diet and exercise, of course!!) will help me get back into shape!!

My Goals:
I want to be healthy, fit into my clothes again, and feel confident!!

My Program:
I'm cutting back on carbs, NO SWEETS!!! (my weakness) I'm trying to incorporate more fruit/veggies into my diet, running, exercising in general, and working on portion control. Oh, and not eating late into the night. I've got a lot to work on :-/

Personal Information:
Graduated college in 2008, have been working in higher education since graduation...also going to grad school for Counselor Education at night. Live/work in the NYC metro area...

Hey, saw your post in "20-somethings..." and thought I'd add you as a friend! We are pretty similar in our stats/goals...I ran a half marathon 2 years ago and I don't think I can run 2 miles right now, either! And I'm also in grad school (ugh) so stress and and being busy with that is tough to deal with. Feel free to add me as a Sparkfriend & we can motivate each other! (I have a feeling I'm going to be moving my goal weight down to 140 pretty soon).
