Slow and steady wins the race!! I started my journey about 4 years ago, starting at just under 210 lbs. Today I am at 166 and still climbing down! I love to exercise, enjoying a variety if things, but my favorites are kickboxing, yoga and roller derby (skating is probably the most fun way to burn the calories I can think of, and derby helps me get out my stress and aggression). I live in Colorado, but haven't been skiing in years.. next year I'm going to give snowboarding another try ...

I live in Colorado, but haven't been skiing in years.. next year I'm going to give snowboarding another try though.. hopefully with less weight and being in better shape, it will be far less miserable than the first time I went.

I try to set small goals for myself, but have really worked on dropping the long term goals and just seeing this as a journey. I feel good that I've really changed the way I eat and exercise and have turned it into a lifestyle, that I choose to focus more on my day to day, then shooting for that end point. Life is all about the journey right??

My Goals:
To just keep moving forward and not give up!

My Program:
I'm not doing a specific program. Basically just really working on burning more calories than I consume. Been working so far. I do work hard to eat primarily lean proteins, fresh veggies, and complex carbs. We try to eat as much fresh, home-made foods as possible. I normally get in about 6-10 hours a week of exercise.

Personal Information:
Live in Englewood, CO. I'm a knitter, a dog lover, a reader, a musician, and a derby girl. Not married and no children.. yet :)

The victory is yours, if only you choose, to do what is right, so that you can lose!

Just keep moving ahead, doing things to keep you fit, not allowing distractions to keep you from it.

Don't focus on things, that will hold you back, just shove them aside, to keep you on track!

If you look back, and see what brought you down, you will find what it is, that can turn around!

Keep your heart, and mind focused on to your goal, there is plenty of stuff, that is good for your soul!

Be happy with the steps, that you take every day; don't get stuck in the traps, that will pull you down out and away!

I thank you for your encouragement, it means much to me! Keep moving forward, and soon you will be free!
