Painted bliss's journey

I am starting a new page, because I feel my life is going in a new direction. I'm starting a new job next week and a new type of eating this week. Over the last 6 months I have been waffling trying to find a plan to work for me. I went to a nutritionist got a complete profile on my blood work which all in all was not too bad but my nutrition was in a hole. Basically I ate too much processed food. So we are starting a clean eating/whole foods approach. We are throwing processed foods out ...

Hopefully it will be successful for weight loss but I'm sure it will be successful for nutrition.

Hi! Wow! how time flies when we're having fun!

I've been really busy and enjoying the festivities of the Easter season (which is my favorite holiday by the way) and now I'm about to get ready for some over night company that will be here in the early afternoon tomorrow then we will be getting ready to go to the coast for some fun and relaxation. When the sun comes out...I go out! It's great!

How about you? Have you been busy or are you getting ready for BBQ season/summer which will be upon us very soon now!

I read that persimmons have high levels of fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium and antioxidants which are all super weapons against atherosclerosis! Who knew?

Have a great week and a great Mother's Day on the 8th!

You can't be happy all of the time; but you can focus your thoughts on happy things such as family, friends, job, hobbies, or whatever you find important.

Hope you are having a great weekend. I am super busy doing laundry and baking so we can leave on a ski trip tomorrow with the two university kids. We'll have a two-bedroom condo, so preparing all our own food will help all of us stay on track!

Hi, it's been a while since I've stopped by your page to check on you so I thought I'd take a quick moment; how are things going for you?

I read somewhere that one lady stacked empty butter cartons on top of each other as she lost the weight so that she could see what it looked like. Now I picture every pound of my excess weight as a brick of butter; which is also pure fat. So any weight I lose, I mentally stack in the corner of my mind to remind me what it looks like.

Hey... Keep reminding yourself how hard you worked and that you deserve to lose for your efforts; and by all means, keep on keeping on!
