If I can do this, you can! I've struggled with my weight all my life and this is the first time I've believed that I can keep it off. I will admit that there are days when I'm not 100% certain, but that's why I come to SP every day. We don't have to do this alone!

I reached my highest weight while I was in grad school. Since I was in denial for a long time and didn't own a scale, I can only guess what that was. In July 2007, I weighed 224, and I'd already dropped at least one ...

I reached my highest weight while I was in grad school. Since I was in denial for a long time and didn't own a scale, I can only guess what that was. In July 2007, I weighed 224, and I'd already dropped at least one size at that point. The rest of it is all part of the journey. I've gained a few pounds back and have work to do on my relationship with food, and all the same struggles. No matter how frustrated I get, I WILL remember that I'm not that person anymore. There's a lot of ground between perfection and having lost weight to get to 224 lbs. Its okay not to be perfect, but its not okay to surrender control of my life and my health.

I think I can live in that space. Want to hang out there with me?

My Goals:
I have a family history of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I hope that by eating healthy, being active, and losing weight I can avoid both.

My Program:
I started with the Weight Watchers Core plan. Now I am concentrating on just eating a healthy balanced diet and eating clean (closest to how foods occur in nature), though I'm not aiming for 100%.

Personal Information:
I'm single and I live in Fredericksburg, VA.

Other Information:
I lost about 80 lbs between 2007 and 2009, but I slowly started to inch back up. Early in 2010 I lost my job, and as I continued to be unemployed, the weight gain accelerated a little the first year and a lot the second year. I'm back to tracking and I'm headed in a better direction.

Not sure I would want turkey scrapple. How does it taste? What does the nutritional label say?

It has been a long while since I've checked in with you..

Hope life is treating you well..

I'm kind of down with a bug of some sort right now but I'm planning on getting out-of-doors a bit later (when it warms up a bit *it's now only 19 degrees here which is Cold for where I live in Oregon).

I've just recently dropped all of my Spark teams except for one because I'm going back to Graduate School in the Fall and feel that it's important to establish a routine of sorts that will get me through and is doable (not something that is so over-whelming that I'll have to drop out of it later).

emoticon We are almost there! HAPPY NEW YEAR... 2014

Jane

Believe me, I can understand that some days are more difficult than other days. We can be most critical of ourselves and tend to appreciate ourselves the least. You have put out an amazing amount of effort ... many do less WITHOUT your challenges. You are NOT alone.
