If I can do this, you can! I've struggled with my weight all my life and this is the first time I've believed that I can keep it off. I will admit that there are days when I'm not 100% certain, but that's why I come to SP every day. We don't have to do this alone! I reached my highest weight while I was in grad school. Since I was in denial for a long time and didn't own a scale, I can only guess what that was. In July 2007, I weighed 224, and I'd already dropped at least one ...
In July 2007, I weighed 224, and I'd already dropped at least one size at that point. The rest of it is all part of the journey. I've gained a few pounds back and have work to do on my relationship with food, and all the same struggles. No matter how frustrated I get, I WILL remember that I'm not that person anymore. There's a lot of ground between perfection and having lost weight to get to 224 lbs. Its okay not to be perfect, but its not okay to surrender control of my life and my health. I think I can live in that space. Want to hang out there with me?

My Goals:
I have a family history of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I hope that by eating healthy, being active, and losing weight I can avoid both.
My Program:
I started with the Weight Watchers Core plan. Now I am concentrating on just eating a healthy balanced diet and eating clean (closest to how foods occur in nature), though I'm not aiming for 100%.
Personal Information:
I'm single and I live in Seattle.
Other Information:
I lost about 80 lbs between 2007 and 2009, but I slowly started to inch back up. Early in 2010 I lost my job, and as I continued to be unemployed, the weight gain accelerated a little the first year and a lot the second year. It took getting back over 200 lbs to finally wake me up, but I'm back on track now and headed in the right direction.
