I am always amazed when I get goodies from SP I've not yet met. Thank you for the goodie. Loosing loved ones is somewhat bittersweet -- I've lost a brother, sister, mother and father. In some ways, I'm happy knowing they're with God, but the physical aspect is what we miss most -- the contact, the discussions, the laughter, etc. I know it takes time for the "missing you" pangs to go away, but I always focus on the Word of God and believe me, it helps alleviate the pain. Good luck on your weight loss and keep in touch -- I love making new friends.

HI! I am sorry you lost your husband, and know this is a difficult time in life. There is as much support here as I have seen available anywhere, so congratulations on making the move to get started. Getting started is the hardest part. It would be good now to make a chart and write down what your "rules" are, what you will eat and won't eat, and your weight goals, and focus on those plans, rules, and goals. You will feel better, just following your "rules" and meeting your daily goal, one day at a time. Losing a loved one is very hard, but you know he would want you to take care of yourself, and your future grand babies will love looking at your "old" and "new" me pictures.

It got me started and it is so true that we should not be putting the things into our body that are sitting on the store shelves or being sold and served to us at restaurants and fast food places.
Now is a good time to start. emoticon
