I want to be able to easily mount my horse from the ground and look good in all those riding clothes designe for tiny people. I don't want to be 'tiny', just reasonably thin.
My favorite quote is: Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass... ...itís about learning how to dance in the rain I love to trail ride long distance and travel and camp with my horses and dog.
Wow! you are my idol! all that execrcise--amazing. I did join a gym, but have only been going once a week and after watching the biggest loser realize that I am only giving it a mediocre effort, but effort nonetheless. I usually spend an hour on cardio since I really don't get much cardio at home. The machines always tell me they are slowing down to get to a safe heart rate. Glad they have the sense to do it. I have started riding fairly often. Two weekends ago I was camping with my Moonie at the Eastern Shore of VA. We rode 20 miles on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. The weather was gorgeous. Last weekend, as in yesterday, it was HOT! 90 degrees. I took my naughty boy, Blue, out alone and kicked his behind until he was about ready to drop. I got my butt off his back and walked him back the last 1/2 mile or so. He needed to work as he's been challenging me when I go to get him in the pasture, etc. There was no fight in him yesterday though. My weight is the same or maybe even up a couple. I got the ultrametoblism book, but the no wheat, no sugar, not processed foods are a no can do. I am hoping that once I get active as I do in the summer, and watch my calories, I will lose some. Likely not, but I can hope. Well, gotta get to the salt mines. Great to hear from you.
Girl, you have been gone for a long time!!!! Thanks for checking in....hope you are getting in lots of riding..I got to ride my horse for the first time this spring yesterday....he was pretty naughty at the Spring Shot Clinic, which is where we went. Yeah, I am feeling pretty good these days. I'm pretty excited about maintaining....60 days and counting. It is daily diligence for sure. Ugh, I gotta get to bed. I climbed the mountain again today but not to the top..we went about halfway up a different ridge; then came home and biked several miles. I'm getting in shape for a 118 mile biking challenge that benefits Special Olympics and it is happening in 3 weeks!!
How's my little friend Sherrie?!!! Hope you are doing well, and just busy riding your horses........I haven't ridden in months, but I know my trusty steed will be the same, come spring. I became the leader of the gaited team recently....the other gal is off somewhere.....?!!!!? and they needed someone to do it. well gotta go feed animals....happy sparking and riding!
Glad you liked my blog. It still sends chills down me when I think about it........I don't mind if you share it!. I'm hoping it was a once in a lifetime experience. A couple who rides with me on their Kentucky Mt horses were actually really bummed that they weren't with me that day. He always carries a gun in the backwoods...but wouldn't have used it unless forced to. (I, on the other hand, have no idea how to use any kind of firearm!) It was something else for sure.
