Focused and motivated

I am new to sparkpeople by only a few days. Last year, in November, I started early with my first-ever "New Year's Resolution". I gave up soda and have successfully gone without it for the entire year. This year's "New Year's Resolution" will be to track all the food I eat each day. I even downloaded the android app so I can do it when I am away from my computer. I can't do this alone, so I look forward to hearing from some of you along the way. Hopefully, I can be an encouragement to many of ...

My Goals:
* exercise every day
* track every thing I eat
* drink 8 glasses of h20
* go to bed before midnight every day.

My Program:
I am watching the clock in the evening to get to bed before 12:00.

When I come home from work before dinner, I get on Sparkpeople to track what I ate for breakfast and dinner to see how much of each category I can eat for dinner. Planning dinner ahead will never happen here due to work/family schedule...but it is working so far!

After dinner each evening, either ride my recumbant bike or head out to the gym.

Checking in with my spark team to see how everyone is doing.

Writing a blog page each day so I can keep myself focused and motivated.

Other Information:
Love to read about WWII real life experiences and enjoy crocheting.

Thank you for reading and responding to my blog.

It was, in fact, one night spend reading new blogs in which at least three of four were in that vein - the "total failure" and "I blew it" mindset - that set me thinking on the topic and let to writing that. Very perceptive!

Looks like you're off to a great start! Good for YOU! You'll love using SparkPeople to help keep you on track. It has helped me so much. Logging all my food and exercise daily lets me know where I stand with calories consumed and calories burned off. The many wonderful people who have also joined and are all in the same place, are the ones who help keep me motivated every day. I hope you have a fantastic experience while reaching your goals!
