Laura's spark page!

I've been so discouraged by the yo-yo I've been on over the past 5 years. As soon as I let up my guard and stop being focused, I let the weight come back on. Recently dh has shown an interest in getting healthy, so that should help. We get comptetitve with exercise, so maybe we can use that to each other's advantage. I really want to train for the Seattle-to-Portland bike ride in July, but I'm a little afraid to admit that out loud!

Hi, Laura! Welcome to SparkPeople. Wow, how exciting -- and what a compliment -- to know that I inspired someone. I'm glad you're enjoying SparkPeople. I think it's awesome! For the first time ever, I really feel that I'm being given the tools and the knowledge to get my weight off and keep it off. Like you, I lost 37 pounds on WW, but gained it all back, plus some. I think my problem with WW is that it focused too much on just the dieting aspect. For me, it's got to be a total lifestyle change with healthier food choices and regular exercise.

I hope you reach your goals here. I know we can do it!

~Kris
