The Beginning to the best year EVER!

Attempting to lose the 20 lbs that crept up on me before...well, before! Should be pretty simple, eh?
I have found my love for the gym again. For a long time, I had an aversion to it, and I couldn't even BRIBE myself to go. But something changed, and I'm back to loving it.

I've never really had a problem with weight until the last year or two, when I started to more easily pack on the lbs, and they didn't come off quite as easily as before. I'm blaming it on turning 30 ...

I've never really had a problem with weight until the last year or two, when I started to more easily pack on the lbs, and they didn't come off quite as easily as before. I'm blaming it on turning 30 and a slower metabolism.

Although I have some smaller goals set, my ultimate goal is to fit back into all my fall work clothes-capri's mostly. They are about 2 sizes too small for me right now, so I've hung up a pair of them so I can see what I have to work towards.

My goal is to get back to a comfortable weight, and to fit into the majority of my work pants by fall so I don't have to go buy a new fat wardrobe.

My Program:
Running, elliptical at leat 20-30 minutes each day. Weights when possible. ALWAYS eating healthy-new favorite-broiled grapefruit for breakfast, and cooked spinach with rice for dinner.

Here are the top-5 reasons I love this SparkPeople team:
1. Total strangers who cheer me on, many who become friends.
2. People who encourage and inspire.
3. People who share their strength when I don't have my own.
4. People who keep me trying and make me not want to give up.
5. We can never have too many of the above!

Other SparkPeople members have taught me:
1. Celebrate the little triumphs and focus on those.
2. Get up when you fall.
3. Share your success and help inspire others!
4. Share your struggles so others can inspire you.
5. It may go slow at times-- but as long as it's going, you’re doing something right.

Thank you for commenting on my blog! That was very nice of you! I hate posting pictures, but I am so amazed by the results that I had to! I just can't believe that I've changed so much since the middle of April! I agree with you that they are great motivators.

Keep up the good work and good luck with your goals!

Sneaky weight after 30 isn't it? I'm going to do the healthy food shopping and then get in a bike ride later in the after noon.
