Losing it

Hello! I have been a big girl since I was a child, but it has rarely stopped me from trying new things and doing my best. I am a past university track athlete and a Biggest Loser. This is the time to get into better shape all around!

Today, I am a full time OT teaching 5 Zumba classes a week and a Kangoo class. However, I am still a big girl, still working on eating better so that I can feel good inside, and still have the same insecurities and challenges that I had when I was 70 pounds heavier. Needless to say, I am alternately working through and avoiding a lot of things day to day. I am very happy to have had all of the opportunities that I have had, but things get overwhelming sometimes, so please pardon any angst!

Otgirlsara, I found your page by searching for dragonboat. I was hoping there was a team for it....in any case I was hoping you would answer a question for me. I am just in the stage of considering joining a team. I have gone out a couple of times.

My lower back gets sore the next days. Did you experience that when you first started? I am trying to figure out if I am just not that strong, or if m.b. dragonboat ing is not for my body.
