After reaching 194 lbs in Dec 2010, I was determined that I would not go through another year being overweight. It was more than the way I looked, it was now affecting the way I felt. I decided to make 5 new year resolutions that I would honer:

1 - Eat Heathly (and less calories)
2 - Excercise 4 -5 times a week
3 - No Sodas (not even diet), No Coffee, No Alcohol (can introduce the last two moderately once I reached my goal weight)
4 - Drink 8 - 12 8oz glasses of water a day
5 - Run a marathon before the year end

I knew that if I could stick to these 5 goals for a few months I would see my weight get back down.

Update - February 12th - I have now lost 16 lbs (at 177.4 lbs) while strictly following my new year resolution. Started running 3 times a week. My size 16 pants feel very big...and I am now comfortably fitting in size 14.

Update - March 11th - I have now lost 25 lbs (168.8 lbs). I am still holding strong to my new year resolutions. Ran my first 10K in late February. I continue to run 2-3 times a week. I also started P90X which I do 4-5 days a week.

Update - April 9th - I have now lost 35 lbs. I am still motivated. I had to start taking vitamins as I started getting some health issues. I will need to make sure I continue to make it part of my daily routine. I am still doing p90X 5 times a week and walking at my lunch break 3 times a week. I have not been able to get any running in but hoping to get started again once my energy is back up and my health is 100%.


Update - January 25th 2012. Last summer I reach my lowest weight of 148lbs (46 lbs lost), however over the fall and winter I managed to gain 10 lbs back. I started my diet and exercise program Saturday Jan 21st, but am very out of shape now. My goal is to get to 140 lbs by spring break and to 130 lbs by the summer (my brother's wedding in Europe). I am having to start slowly....but plan to get really active!!!

2 - Excercise 4 -5 times a week between 1 -2 hrs.
3 - No Sodas (not even diet), No Coffee, No Alcohol
4 - Drink 8 - 12 8oz glasses of water a day
5 - Run 3 times a week
6 - Eat heathly choices at all times.

    My husband is due back in June (approx. 67 days, 8 hours and 33 minutes LOL!)
    I have 32lbs left to loose before then, and I have been kicking butt lately at loosing the weight. I have stepped back on the exercise, I think that is what was stalling me. When I stopped this week, I started loosing like crazy! Plus I have been having weird things going on since I got my birth control, gained some weight and now I am loosing it at the same rate I was gaining. Not sure what is going on with that but oh well lol.
    I am hoping to hit a loss of 140 pounds by June 15th! That means all that has been gone since December 13th 2010-June 15th 2011 that is about 7 ish months or so.
    Most of the weight was baby weight, but right now I am only 5lbs away from my lowest weight ever, so YAY!

    Thank you so much for your comment! Oh my goodness. I fell off the nutrition bandwagon because I'm going back home to visit (I'm in school in England) and didn't want to have to go buy food at Tesco (I hate that place) so I just ordered in and went out with friends for last hurrahs before I leave on Thursday. However, I did start week 20 this week. I'm still fitting in my 12s although they are getting tighter in the last week or so since my binging on not-so-good-for-me foods. So, I'm getting back on the nutrition wagon. Working out doesn't matter if you're nutrition is whack!
