Old Glory 5K run

Hello!
My name is Dee and I live in Northern Minnesota. My goal is to get healthy and learn to stay that way.
My long term goal is to weight 154 lbs. and then re-evalutate
Right now what is big for my family is preparing for our first 5K run. We have chosen the Old Glory Run in Cold Springs, Minnesota. This event supports the Disabled Vets of Minnesota. What a great cause! Wish us luck!

Short term Goals:
Week #1 Drink 8 glasses of water each day.
Walk 9 miles per week on the treadmill/road
1 hour of water aerobics x 2 times this week.
Get the bike out once the snow is gone.
Mid Term Goal:
Work on going thru the exercise video's
Long Term Goal:
Get down to 154 lbs

The scale is only a guide. If you stayed within your calorie range, you did not deposit any new fat on your body. Tell yourself that the scale can sometimes hold on to extra water, leading you to think that you are not making any progress. Before you go to bed, pat yourself on the back and tell yourself, "I stayed within my calorie range today; therefore I did not gain any fat." Tell yourself that and stay on plan.

Good morning dear friend , have been thinking of you so much lately and finally got on your site. After looking at the photo's of you and especially the one of you holding your pants, I have reaffirmed my decision to eat and feel healthier. I was going real good, and people were commenting on my weigh loss, until this weekend past and the wedding. I do believe it is true, when you get tired you let your guard slip.. and mine really slipped. Today I was back on my site, and logging in the food again. Thanks Dee for the incentive again. You are someone that a lot of people look up to, and they should. Good luck on your running challenge and keep hugging those new grand babies... hugs your old canuk friend...

How is your challenge going? If we stick with this one, we can choose teams next time. I think it would be a lot of fun to be on the same team as you. I noticed your exercise minutes in my friend feed, I am sure your team loves you. ;) Did you figure it all out, I had a crazy weekend as my sister came in, so I wasn't on the computer much. My phone just really doesn't do SP well, at least for a lot of the activities. Most of the stuff in my group was in the forums. We have a weight tracker one, and then another one to track our challenges...

Thank you for commenting on my blog! I appreciate the support and encouragement! I think the weekly challenges will be posted in the discussion/forum section and you grade yourself on how well you accomplished each challenge. I believe there is one challenge per week.
