No more excuses, time for results!

I have started using SparkPeople at least three times before, and I've always dozed off after a few weeks. Now, heavier than ever and with my wedding coming up in July, I'm tired of constantly feeling disappointed in myself and feel ready and motivated to finally get the results I want.

I have started using SparkPeople at least three times before, and I've always dozed off after a few weeks. Now, heavier than ever and with my wedding coming up in July, I'm tired of constantly feeling disappointed in myself and feel ready and motivated to finally get the results I want.

I'm a fitness instructor and yoga teacher, but my history in my teens with eating disorders have made me into an adult who still feels confused about what and how much to eat. Though fully recovered, my main issues are eating regularly (and not "forgetting" or putting off eating), getting enough protein, and reducing my carbs.

Like many of you, I'm a carb addict, and I can trace my love for fresh baked bread to my childhood where I'd soothe my loneliness by getting through an entire loaf of fresh bread. Since I recognize this as my trigger food, my biggest challenge for this spring is to cut out bread from my diet by replacing it with good protein sources.

As a fitness instructor I am extremely self-conscious about my body in front of clients. Despite being muscular (underneath all this softness), I feel like I should be giving a better example of a healthy body to my students. Though I know that my body type will never allow me to be small and petite, that I will always have a muscular and athletic build, this excess fat feels foreign and extremely uncomfortable.

My Goals:
I'm hoping to lose about 10kg (22lbs). More specifically I'd like to get leaner and burn this fat so my muscles will become more visible.



My Program:
I teach between 3-5 yoga and weight training classes per week at a local fitness center, but and my main fitness goal is to add aerobic fat-burning workouts. I've also recently started running, and am running a 10K-race at the end of may 2012

Personal Information:
I'm a 28-year old fitness instructor, and am studying to become a personal trainer. I also just applied to physical therapy school
