My name is Diane. I am 58 years old, love to lift weights for the pure joy of it, and am a living kidney donor to my husband of 40 years. I am always in awe of being able to do things physically that I never thought I could do.

Hi Diane! My name is Paula - I'm 45 and starting the testing process tomorrow to donate a kidney - my husband needs one - we don't match, but we're attempting to do it through a Paired Donor program through our Canadian Blood Services - I give one, he'll get one - just not from me.

I think you added me as a friend awhile back when I had a different spark name and was on the Loving your Kidneys team.

I'm working on getting as healthy as I can so I can give the healthiest organ possible, and be able to recover back to my regular, if not healthier, self. So, that involves getting back in to Spark People - I sort of fell of the wagon for awhile because my hubby was really sick for about 6 months. Anyway, I'm hoping you'll have some insight and perhaps some tips for what worked best for you through your donor process. I'm also interested in how your husband is doing after the transplant

PS - I also love lifting weights! emoticon emoticon
