OR Army Mom

My name is Nina and I live in Oregon. I have 2 wonderful daughters, 1 granddaughter, and 1 grandson. They all live out of state so I don't get to see them very much. I need to get back on track and lose the weight that I have gained since I quit SP back in Dec. 2007. I gained back all that I had lost and added about 25 pounds. My 40 yr class reunion is coming up the first of Sept. and I would like to drop at least 20-30 pounds or more before then.

I quit smoking 8 months ago and have put back on about 20 and just seem to be stuck. Down two up three, down four up five. Fortunately, the up and down seem to always get me back to the same point instead of more...so holding at that 20.

It is a nightmare sometimes and all of us have experienced the pain of regain. However, when your health is involved it is a serious thing. I can only say that if it was your child's life being threatened, you would do whatever it took. Bet if the doctor sat down with you and said "Barbara is going to die if YOU don't lose 50lbs" you'd be on a program without one cheat. You have to do the same for yourself. We do not love "us" enough...if we did we would never allow ourselves to get this way.
Not to mention that I believe inspite of what everyone else says...that sugar is addicting...some things are just bad and until we can learn to eat them in moderation..should be eliminated. Tell me that again later please.
Keeping you in my prayers and so glad you checked in. Now that sparks doesn't always notify me of comments or such, I forget to check. I am not overly active like I was...in the past year had my baby Rachel get pregnant...then plan and get married, move into a house that is in bad need of work..so every few second spent doing construction work. What a year!!!

Hey girl...miss seeing you and hope that you are enjoying your life. Wish you would just drop by and let us all know you are ok...it is hard on your cyber friends when you disappear and no one knows what happened.

Hi Nina,
I'm an Oregonian too. I noticed the picture of you daughter in Army fatigues and had to stop by. Tell your daughter a huge "THANK YOU" and that so many appreciate her and what she is doing!
Blessings, I'll be praying for "Nina's daughter!"
