My new journey to being healthy and happy! I'm a 25 yr. old who just finished college with a BS in structural engineering. All the stress and late nights at school led to my weight gain. I used to be able to use lack of time as an excuse to myself for not being able to exercise regularly. Well, now school's over and the excuses no longer cut it.

Hey! Bad news...No run for me! I got hit by a softball a few days before the race and I had a huge welt and cramping for two days straight. I had to sit at work with an ice pack on it! :( I was very sad and dissapointed but I am over it. I need to sign up for another one!!! emoticon

It feels borderline obsessive to have to plan that much, but after a little over a month of no weight loss one gets a little desperate! I'm willing to try this to see if the scale moves at all. I remember seeing a Dr. Oz program and he said that some people lose weight by eating lower calorie high carb diets, others lose weight better by lower carbs higher calories and some are a combo. Maybe I'll see some type of result! ANYTHING would be welcomed at this point! waking up at 5:15 during the weekday and getting into the gym 6 days a week hardly seems the effort without some sort of positive results!!!

Hey! Yeah I run at the gym but I usually do sprints and I don't know if I'm ready for a 3 mile run! Oh well no one said I couldn't walk, right, lol!

I am doing one for the Hayward school district. It's for the track and field comittee. I don't know how big it is going to be so it might be even better because I won't feel so much pressure.

My boyfriend and I have a graduation party to go to on Saturday night and I told him "okay we have to be home early and I can't drink anything!" He understood! :o)

I'm excited but a little nervous! emoticon
