What a Difference 10 Months Make...a Vacation Picture I'm Not Ashamed Of!

July 2009, this is when I decided I had to get serious about losing weight.

I have 11 pics in my gallery

I'm the Boss of Me!

Do what you’ve never done before
See what you’ve never seen
Feel what you’ve never felt before
Go where you’ve never been

Sing what you’ve never sung before
Say what you’ve never said
Bear what you’ve never borne before
Hear what you’ve never heard

And do what you like
Get on your bike and do what you like

So many times
I was the one who stopped myself from doing things
So many times
I was the one ...
Do what you’ve never done before
See what you’ve never seen
Feel what you’ve never felt before
Go where you’ve never been

Sing what you’ve never sung before
Say what you’ve never said
Bear what you’ve never borne before
Hear what you’ve never heard

And do what you like
Get on your bike and do what you like

So many times
I was the one who stopped myself from doing things
So many times
I was the one who grounded myself and clipped my wings
So I say:

Do what you’ve never done before
For fear of losing face
You’ve got nothing to defend now
In your state of grace

All is not as it would seem
Nothing ever remains the same
Change is life’s characteristic
Bend and flow and play the game
Loose your chain…

Fitness Minutes: 31,162

My Goals:
To maintain my weight loss at goal +/- 2lbs. That is, 113-117, 115 being goal.

To keep moving and increase my fitness levels.

To be a more active and less passive participant in my own life.

To be happy, healthy and fit, once and for all!

My Program:
Moving more and eating less, using the fitness and nutrition trackers to keep me on track and in range. I feel that the minute I start to feel deprived failure is at hand, so nothing is "forbidden"...I just need to work within my limits most days and not beat myself up when I have an occasional splurge or a lazy day.

Personal Information:
Married to a tall, hyperactive, naturally skinny guy, who has still had to be more careful of his weight since he's hit middle age. No kids, three cats.

Other Information:
I have Crohn's disease and Enteropathic arthritis, but I still think of myself as healthier than most people. I try to take care of myself, but I also think I've been very lucky.

I make that Italian beef in the crock pot in large batches. It freezes really great for an even easier dinner on another night!

Hope you are having a great week!

Thank you for the Spark goodie. I am praying for all the families affected by the explosion at the Boston Marathon. I live eight miles away from finish line and was not there. I have watched the runners other years. No one from my family was running this year so I did not go. I do not think the terrorist will win. People in Boston still want to have a Marathon.
