My name is Ali and I am from lovely Vermont! I've been familiar with Sparkpeople for about 4 years! I've been consistently physically active since Fall 2008 and I have lost 30 lbs in the past 2 years with the help of Sparkpeople! I got married in August 2012 - and after gained about 7 lbs which I am currently working on kicking to the curb. My workouts are pretty much on par but eating is the part of the equation I still struggle with.

I am continuing to focus on efficient cardio, strength training, and eating sensibly while tracking my food. I also have had the added challenge of balancing life, school, exercise and overall HEALTH since starting graduate school in July 2011.

I would like to continue varying my exercise, learning more, and meeting like-minded people! I love to try different workouts and I love learning more about fitness.

My Goals:
Goals as of March 2013
*eat 1900-2000 calories a day focusing on staying full for longer and on LESS (MORE VEGGIES and water!)
*at least 3 days of cardio a week
*at least 2 days of strength training a week

My Program:
I'm currently doing spinning, bootcamp style classes, strength training on my own, jogging, and lots of walking.

I try to track my food most days of the week.

Several years ago I was inspired by Kathleen DesMaison's eating plan for people with sugar sensitivities. I do not strictly follow the program but I still follow a lot of the concepts from it. I'd like to get back to it!

Thanks for my comment on my "scared" blog. I called the police the next day and the desk sergeant told me that, because there were injuries, the law requires the police to be called. Since I had no phone, and the motorist did, she was obligated to make the call. As a matter of fact, she was talking on her cell phone when the accident occurred.

She changed her story later and stated that I had ample time to stop or turn away. That is when I got a lawyer. The recording from security camera at the country club showed just what happened. She was totally at fault.

This is all sorts of fun. NOT!
