Finding joy in my journey

I am the Mom of 3 great kids: 2 daughters aged 18 & 10 and a 15 year old son. I am a daughter to 2 amazing people who show me hope in ways immeasurable. Mom had a stroke 3 yrs ago & has to live in a nursing home, Dad visits her EVERYDAY.
Extra pounds & decreased interest in exercise make me feel frumpy!I want to feel more positive about myself.
I need to figure out where I lost myself, my happiness, my belief in myself.
I am tired of feeling alone & lonely. I want to be ...

Healthy, engergetic, enthusiastic, glass half full!
In the long run I hope to attain the courage to date.....My husband (well my ex-husband) left me 2 yrs ago & it shattered me.

It didn't feel warm today! But, 60* F beats 0 Celcius anyday! I have to assume you live way north. We are in Missouri, close to where Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas meet.

Thanks for the Easter goodie! My DDs and I are heading to see my family Saturday. Oldest DD has prom on Friday night. DH will be staying behind as they are planting corn.

Have a great run!

I thought of you yesterday when I was in Wal-Mart. I was buying a new ice chest for my DH to take with him in the tractor. His old one weighed a ton empty, so something was obviously wrong with it. I also picked up a nifty soft-sided cooler on rollers so I could pack it for all the remaining track meets. It is small enough to fit in the bleachers, and light enough to pick up and carry up the stairs. It won't win any awards for holding ice for days, but it does the job for an afternoon! Packed low-fat cheese sticks, chocolate milk for DD after the race, bananas, bread, peanut butter, and Cheez-its. (Healthy until you get to the Cheez-its!)

DD didn't get a medal, but she did place in the top 6, so she earned points for the team. She managed to fall somehow while running the mile, but picked herself up and kept running. emoticon It was unseasonably hot (90*), so it was a challenge to keep the kids hydrated. No one got sick, so I count the day a success!

Thanks for stopping by today - it is great coming on here and finding friends have left messages - it def makes me feel I am not alone with this.
This weekend was not great - not bad either which is a credit to spark. Before if I fell off the wagon, I did it in style and continued eating for a week!!
This time I am thinking better if not perfect.
I need to set myself a plan for April - My husband is away a lot and I am on my own with the kids who are on two weeks hols from now. My b/sitter got diabetes and had to have an op so I have taken time off work to mind them. But that means I am going to find it harder to exercise on my own. And out of routine is not good for me.
But I will find a way around it - I won't let it beat me - I am going to improve on my March goals!! I just need to get an early night and not feel so tired again tomorrow!! Thanks again for the motivation
