I came by to welcome you to the Old Hippies team, and just got lost here on your page! I lived in Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Capo Beach and then transitioned to Leucadia and Encinitas and north to Mendocino....ah...the California coast. Anything like it in the world? I love your description of Newport and how it is sandwiched!
Anyway, I was touched deeply by the thought of losing a child. How very difficult that must have been (and still is I imagine...) But, congrats for turning your pain into a positive energy and drive.

Welcome to the Lost a Loved One team and to Spark People. The Spark people site is such a great resource to help you on your way to healthier living, although, I am in agreement with MLR. By your picture you could be 20 years younger. You have taken very good care of yourself.
I live 50 miles inland from the Pacific in Northern Oregon. I too like the beach but it is much colder up here.
I am sorry you lost your daughter. That is so very sad at any age. Supporting other women and families with cancer must be healing. I had a student that was able to go to Disneyland through Make A Wish. Thank you for being part of that. Can you tell us what the Cut A Thons are?
