The road to a lifestyle change

Since I could remember I've always had a love/hate relationship with my weight. But it wasn't until 4 years ago and my first pregnancy that it had gotten out of control. I hit 270 pounds, the biggest I've ever been in my life.

It took me only 3 months to take off 30 pounds of that, but adding another pregnancy into the mix, I had been in the holding pattern. It wasn't until August of 2010 I joined spark that I started to get serious.

Over a year later,I am now home ...

Over a year later,I am now home stretch of my weight loss journey. If you can call 14 pounds the home stretch! :D

I've finished the C25 on 8/16/10. Took a break from running for awhile but back on track.

12 minute mile completed on 1/15

10 minute mile completed 6/13

Sub 10 minute mile 7/5

PR 5k: 33.10 !
28:10 (on track) 7/20

PR 10k: 1:11 9/11

Started the bridge to 10k program/60 minutes running.
Finished 2/12/11

My current measurements/stats are

High waist: " 27
waist: "29
Hips: "34
Arms: 11

Down 14 inches from high waist, 10 from my natrual waist.. and 13 from my hips. 3from arm. A total of 40 nches!!!!!!! 12/11



HW: 270
CW: 157.3
LW: 145
GW: 130

Goals of 2011

Run 10k - 9/11
Start and finish HM training
Be able to do 5 pull ups on a bar
Lose another 25 pounds (get to goal WI!)
Be able to hold crow pose for longer than 10 seconds!
(3 of 10 so far.. :D)

Currently I am monitoring my calorie intake. :)

I run anywhere between 3 to 6 days a week, and do turbo fire or dance in-between.

HAHA thanks for the blog comment! I think if I had a little Jillian yelling at me I would have run in the rain no matter what!! She's quite the beast which I love even if I curse her everytime she tells me to get into plank pose!!! Hope you had a great weekend :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'd say the most challenging part of P90X is just doing it everyday. Every video is at least an hour, and most are longer. So fitting it in is hard, but then again no harder than fitting any other exercise in, you're just on a schedule with this program.

Thanks for the comment on the Beverly Lake vlog... This lake is right off Higgins Road heading toward Elgin. After you pass the Beverly Rd red light, you will turn right into the Beverly Lake forest preserve. The trail begins at the far left of the parking lot and wraps around the lake. Very beautiful. You can even bypass the lake to hit other trails.
