Spring into action!
Spring is here! I had set so many goals that would culminate in the spring of 2012. I did not reach all of those goals, but did manage to reach a few. I know that God has a big plan for my and DH's lives, but He has not released us to venture into those yet. So, here we are. Spring is here! I had set so many goals that would culminate in the spring of 2012. I did not reach all of those goals, but did manage to reach a few. I know that God has a big plan for my and DH's lives, but He has not released us to venture into those yet. So, here we are. I have turned in my resignation at the hospital and will be done after 7:30 on Sunday, April 1. I will be going back to the little hamburger/ ice cream place where I worked last summer and fall. I only have to work about 4-5 hours a day and it is not nearly as strenuous as the hospital. I am still having an issue with "when to eat". I eat breakfast before going to work (about 9:00-9:30), I eat lunch at work at 1:30pm, I leave work at 7:30 pm and am ravenous when I get home. Usually, I eat a bowl of cereal, but then start cooking for DH and have to try not to eat what I'm cooking. I am not getting the vegetables and protein I need for the day. What a vicious cycle. Something else to work on; but I will persevere! When I get back to working at "Over the Top", I will be home from work at 4:00 pm, and will be able to cook dinner at a reasonable time. Also, this job is only about 3 blocks from my home and I like to walk there. Saves on gas; plus is good exercise. Well, here I am again! It is the middle of December and I have not been visiting the SP site very much lately. I had been feeling really tired since last winter, but chalked it up to "older age". My 'get-up and go..got-up and went' and I just didn't feel like doing anything except sitting around. Then, towards the end of September, I had some serious pain in my arms, chest, neck and jaw and went to ER and discovered that I had 2 blocked arteries (each 95% blocked) and had stents inserted into each one. Well, now I am like a kid again. I have so much more energy and feel like doing things again. My weight loss had not been great, and I had regained some of it, but since September, I have lost over 10 pounds. I praise God that I had the wisdom to seek medical help, and I also praise Him for my new lease on life. He is so GREAT!!! “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” ¯ Anonymous How cool is that?

My Goals:
To get down to 120 pounds, or maybe even 115.
My Program:
My program kind of went by the wayside (or is that weighside??) I let so many other things control my life and now, it's time to get back on the ball. I am not going to "diet"..I am going to eat right and exercise each day. Now that the weather is a little cooler, I will be using my Beachbody dvds..I do Body Gospel. It's great..a REAL workout, with praise music and oh so good.
Personal Information:
I am from North Central Pennsylvania. This is going to be a hot, dry summer, I'm afraid! But, that's ok, there is air conditioning in the mall, so I can walk around there and not feel the heat so bad.
Other Information:
I am 62 years old and most days feel like I'm 40. I try to keep a really good attitude about life and I love the Lord with all my heart.
