GO SPARKPEOPLE! YA!...

I am a student and I have been trying to figure out how to balance a healthy lifestyle while studying. Usually I start the term out well, I go to the gym frequently, eat healthy and mostly within my calories. By midterm I start feeling the stress and I start thinking that i don't have time for the gym and cooking healthy becomes less of a priority. Sitting with my nose in my text almost all day and not paying too much attention to my calories always makes me gain back the weight I have worked ...

I am starting to get better at keeping a healthy lifestyle and dealing with the stress of studying at the same time. But it is HARD! If you have some tips please share them!

My Program:
I do various cardio at the gym. Usually I do 2 or 3 machines (elliptical, treadmill, bike, occasionally step and rowing machines) to mix it up a bit. I love too challenge myself and beat my own records.

For strength training I normally do pump class at the gym. I LOVE pump!

Right now I am reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. It is by far the most realistic program I have seen yet... I will let you know after though :)


Personal Information:
I am a Winnipeger (Canada). Although I have lived for short periods of time all over Canada with my previous job! I really discovered how truely beautiful Canada really is! Even Toronto can be nice...eheheh.
I had also spent a year and a half in England. I really miss it there and sometimes I am torn between the two countries.

Salaam!

I agree its HARD to change your eating habits and fit in exercise. I try to turn things around gradually and give myself credit for the nontraditional exercises that I do each day. For instance, I do alot of walking on my job and instead of taking the elevator 10 times a day I always take the stairs.
When it comes to healthy eating, well, the less junk food I bring in the house the less there is to eat. ;) Of course when I'm at home and the craving hits I'm a little peterbed but at least I've substituted the carrot cake with something more healthy but still enjoyable like a soymilk strawberry-banana smoothie, or a zippie bag of baby carrots instead of chips. emoticon

is 80 cal more for a 30 min brisk walk wt groceries in hands? I doubt...
i haven't exercised properly in a while thanks to a very busy schedule.
so you say i am writing i work out too much and eat too much b/c of that?
