It's little ole me! (the little part to follow...tho I'm a tad bit closer now!)

Joined the 2014 Fall 5% Challenge! It starts soon and I am really excited!! I need to be consistent. I need to lose this weight because it saps my energy and strength trying to lug me around!! I also have found some of my old clothes that were stored that I really love and they'll never fit me till I get under 150 and some not till considerably smaller! I might find some I can already get into. I'm down to a sz 12/14 !! I'm headed for 115 pounds and if I'd really been working these ...

I also have found some of my old clothes that were stored that I really love and they'll never fit me till I get under 150 and some not till considerably smaller! I might find some I can already get into. I'm down to a sz 12/14 !! I'm headed for 115 pounds and if I'd really been working these past couple of years, I think I should have been there by now!!! Or a heck of alot closer than this!! So, help me if you can and kick my tushie daily!!
Gotta do this and nobody can do it for me! Gotta "make it happen"!!!!
. Gonna work my butt off to make at least 5% if not more! Gonna walk 20-30 minutes each day, and get in some workout when walking isn't possible. I will get to the gym 3X's/week for circuits & use the treadmill when I cannot get out and walk or have a walking partner. I will keep to my nutrition tracker. I have asked DH to do more cooking from "The Spark Solution) b/c I really don't like to cook and he does. Gotta be consistant and persistant to a fault!!! CLOVERLEAFs are awesome!! I want to be a good teammate and will check in with my team as often as possible. I will weigh in every Saturday morning and post it, and I will track my nutrition and fitness daily, post exercise minutes and LTGL daily to my team and help bring in my wonderful CLOVERLEAF's to the top 3 each week!! ( Can you tell I'm a bit competitive??)

Scale is dusted off....(I weigh every Sat.)
Exercise clothes and gym bag are ready to go.
Water bottle ready.
Exercise plan is in place.
Diet consisting of lean meats (or some kind of good protein), lots of freggies and fiber and try harder to drink water. Will cook & eat Chef Meg's recipes as often as possible.
Will track daily andvisit with my team daily.
I want to lose this weight for the following reasons:
1) health
2) Get back to the weight I should be!
3) Being barely over 5', I should be much lighter for optimum health and well-being.
4) To wear nicer clothes and look better in them!
5) To save my knees and hips and back!
6) To feel normal and confident again!

I am fortunate that I really have no "trigger" foods. That is to say, if I DO eat a "no-no" food, it doesn't get me off track. I will mindfully eat said "no-no" food (a small amt.) and stay right on track beyond that. I don't throw in the towel for the day or week, etc. That's one of the best things I have reaped from SP over the last few years. ( I have lately, however, been caing to my sugar addiction, so will be working diligently on that, too. So here's the update! If I start to sound lazy or gripey, kick my tush!!!
You gals and guys are the best!!! Thanks SPARKGUY for creating this fabulous place for all the great people here!!
Here I go in the 2014 Fall 5% challenge. Gonna work harder, do my best to be consistent and keep at the lower end of my calorie range! Have plans for better movement. I have a hefty goal in mind this time, so pray for my success!!! I'm getting rid of this 5% this time! At Least! Let's do this, my SParky friends!

Thankyou Jayne for the thoughtful message and prayers. So kind of you. Yes they definitely knew she was diabetic. They had the insulin plus antibiotics and probiotic powders to give her. That's why I didn't ask my daughter to look after her while my DH and I were visiting my dad. I felt it was too much for her to worry about and assumed the cattery would know what they were doing. Sheesh! Anyway when I found out they were giving her so much I told them to reduce it. I can only assume they were giving the insulin correctly. She is doing ok and a bit less annoying as the days go on. She is a lovely cat. Just very, very expensive. Thank goodness we have pet plan insurance. Still don't get it all back tho. But we do love her. She is 13 now. There are a few pictures of her on my page. She is a tuxedo moggy.
Thankyou so much for being so caring and for your friendship. I am off back to dad in N Ireland tomorrow to sort out the house for renting as he is now settled in a nursing home. Had all that to sort out last month. Busy busy.
I do hope you are keeping well and take care. emoticon emoticon

Thanks for your kind comment about our cat. I know what you mean Jayne. It's just we have been dealing with it for a year now. We had her sugar right down from the 20s to about 7. Then she went in a cattery last month and they fed her 9 pouches a day despite my instructions so she was back to a 25 reading. So now we have been told to increase her insulin. She is a terror for jumping up on worksurfaces and also will trip one of us up soon. I know she doesn't understand but it's hard to live with on top of everything else. Oh well. We have to keep on keeping on with it i guess!! emoticon emoticon

Jayne, thanks for reading the blog -- it can be very frustrating to keep losing that same 2 to 5 pounds. Yet that is exactly what we are doing when we continually let the temptations get to us. And what a waste of time it all boils down to. Next week, or next month, what difference will it make if we skipped eating a piece of birthday cake? Of course let's say we DID eat it, next week it might still be with us. lol

Sorry you have so many occasions to throw you off your diet this time of year -- it's always something, isn't it? But we do the best we can and move on. Stress causes you to gain weight, so the last thing you should do is stress out over it. And have you ever noticed? A fat lady always seems to have a smile on her face -- probably cuz she's not worrying her head off over how many calories she's consuming.

Hugs, lots & lots of them, Eve emoticon

You are too sweet! Thank you for coming by, once again, and giving out that wonderful encouragement. Your comments always leave a smile on my face and in my heart! Yes, our poor DHs, lol!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and the weather breaks a little for you. It's been pretty miserable here, too, but I'm not looking forward to the cold weather.

Love ya and take care of yourself!
