Old Angie Runs

I'm old. I'm out of shape. I'm determined. Mid 30s Mama of 2. Looking to feel better, lose 10-15lbs, and make healthier decisions from what I eat to how I spend my money and everything in between.

My Goals:
My primary goal is to be more healthy physcially, mentally, and emotionally. I kind of think if I take care of the physcial part, the others will fall into place. I will make better choices when it comes to eating, I'll exercise, and I will stick to my plan.

Sounds great, right? Nice and fluffy. Just realized that I need to make some actual measurable goals!

Goal 1: Drink 1/2 body weight in ounces of water daily. Currently that is..a lot of water! Okay 73oz or more! (Bathroom much?)

Goal 2: To eat one fruit or veggie daily.

Goal 3: To exercise at least 3X a week.

Goal 4: To bring my lunch at least 2X a week to work.

Goal 5: To log my eating habits for one month.

My Program:
Couch to 5K program

My hubby is doing great. He is still on restrictions but he has came along way in the last few weeks. I am no longer a nurse that was a short lived job.....lol he can now do most things on his own but bend over.

Congrats on your frist 5k way to go girl. I am thinking of doing one for our work. i have never done one but I am thinking of trying it.

I understand how life can keep you busy. I have 3 kids that still live at home and football season is starting this friday for one of my son's and then my other son starts football next week and then my step son starts soccer, so I will be busy busy.

Keep up the great work and thank you for checking in.

Are you following a half marathon training plan? I followed mine to the tee and I did fine. Trust me - there were days when I thought to myself - what are you thinking? Are you seriously going to try and run this far?
But, I kept plugging along. I read all about nutrition and hydration and played with refueling while running and now I get it! My 11 mile run today was much easier than the first time I did that distance - but the first time was more rewarding! You can do it!

Yep, I live in Winchester, VA. My son is actually in college at Radford so I am very familiar with the Christiansburg area. When he had surgery last year I hung out at the shopping areas over there. LOL.
