Well despite my best efforts in 2009 I not only failed to loose an additional 40lbs but I gained the previous 40 back. Looking back I feel like such a failure. However, I will not let this sense of failure do anything less than motivate me.

I hope to at least loose 40lbs again this year and perhaps hit my goal. I haven't changed what I did from last year just picked it back up.

January 2008

I started SP in January. Not so much as a new years resolution but just because the holidays were over. Those first 10lbs flew off. So motivating!! The next 15 have been slow. But I don't see this so much as a diet but as a lifestyle change so even though the weight loss is slow I don't plan on changing anything so it should just keep coming off.

Another thing we have done is my whole family is taking Tae Kwon Do. Started with just the kids but when they school added a family class we joined. Everyone loves it and we are together. It's the best thing ever. And now so many of my health goals are based on progress I want to make in Tae Kwon Do. So that would be my biggest advice is to find something you can do with those closest to you.

I want to be able to buy clothes easily. I want to be healthy and fit. I want to show my daughters what a healthy woman should be. I don't want to be my Mom.

My Program:
Just being more active and watching my calories. I have three kids so I have also focused a lot on just healthy eating.

What you have accomplished is amazing!! 9,402 people joined the week you did, and nearly all have quit, but YOU are still working to have wonderful health and fitness, because you want to make this your BEST LIFE! emoticon As Eckhart Tolle says in "The Power of NOW" this is all we have and the time to make changes is always NOW.

Hi. I thought I'd go ahead and add you. Hope that's ok. I just looked at a map and you live about 2.5 hours from me. I'm in Blanchard. My husband and I do not have cable or satellite. It's one less bill to pay and we have tons of movies because my husband is a movie collector. Lol. We own a few seasons of King of the Hill, but not the one with the yoga episode. I would have remembered that one. And I was going to tell you that it doesn't matter how good you are at tennis, as long as it's fun and you are moving. Oh, and my name is Jess, by the way.
