My hobbies include working on computer graphics, reading, I love to garden and lately I'm enjoying experimenting with new recipes.
I'd love to get into photography. I'm learning to play the guitar. I enjoy writing and have begun writing a book. I write poems randomly and could probably publish a book with the amount I have done already. So I guess you could say I am creative, I just don't share my work with most people.
I recently began a college course in Nutrition. INTERESTING stuff! And a way for me to keep myself accountable once I reach my goal weight.
My weight loss goals are easy enough to attain. (You would think) I do have 175 pounds to lose. Well, when I first started my journey I had 175 lbs to lose, now though, about 50 to go.
I have decided I will go about it by setting 10 pound goals. Once I lose the 10 pounds I will set a new goal. That way it doesn't seem like my goal is out of reach. I have to get healthy, for me. I want to feel good again first and foremost. I want to be here to watch my children become adults and see my Grandson grow up.
One of my major goals is to get my B.M.I. down to a healthy range.
When I started my journey my B.M.I. was 50.2 which is dangerously HIGH! Through proper nutrition and exercise I have brought it down to 31.79
That is still high, there is progress though. Ideally, when I get to my goal weight, my B.M.I. should be 25. This is more important to me then looking good or losing the weight. More then anything, I want my health back. I have let it go for too long. It's time for me, time for me to take charge of my body and the things I do to it and the things I put in it.
The fight is on and I plan on being victorious!

My Goals:
Here to lose 175 pounds, My goal is to lose 10 pounds at a time. I think small goals like this make for success. Only having to lose 10 pounds seems so much more attainable then saying I have to lose 100 or more.

My Program:
I am eating recommended portions of food per nutrition labels. Cutting back on fats and calories.
No longer eating red meat, pork or processed pre-packaged foods. Incorporating more fresh fruits and veggies in my daily meals.
And exercising no less then 1 Hour a day.

Personal Information:
Living in the mid-west as of now, I am a Mountain Girl at heart. Although for the most part I was raised in OKC, Oklahoma. Spent 20 of my adult years in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC. North Carolina is such a beautiful place.

I believe you have a responsibility to comport yourself in a manner that gives an example to others.

Other Information:
I'm not liking the image of the person looking back at me in the mirror. I'm a good person, don't get me wrong. I'm just a VERY unhealthy person at the present time, I need to fix that. And I've come to realize I am the only mechanic in the whole world that can fix ME.

I'm clearing away all the things that have limited me in the past. My future is wide open. I will empower myself to make the changes necessary to build my life the way I want it to be from here on

Surround your self with positive people, people who believe and encourage you. People who are upbeat and love life but most of all, people who love you just because you are you, no stipulations, no strings.

An exercise tip: Walk early in the morning,
before your brain figures out what you're doing.
