Twenty Months

...that's how long I'm giving myself to lose 100 lbs. In 20 months my daughter will be starting Grade One and I don't want to be the fat mom dropping her off at school. But most importantly, I want to enjoy her childhood with her, to be able to take her biking and sledding and out for nature hikes. I want to be a good example for her and to be there for her as she grows older; healthy and fit.

My Program:
I have decided to follow a carb restricted program that I will slowly build back in to. For now, I'm eating between 1300 - 1800 calories a day, increasing "good" fats and getting rid of the sugar, processed foods and endless pasta parties that have been ruling my world.

It's taken me awhile to figure out how to use these pages, but I finally figured out that I can add comments to this section!
Chakara, I think we have a lot in common. :)
Lithgirl, I must try these pork rind recommendations. I love them, but find it hard to find them in the stores for some reason.

Us Low-Carbers come up with a lot of weird stuff...LOL. And guacamole is good with pork rinds too!! Some people pulverize them and coat chicken with them...I haven't graduated that far yet...... emoticon
