Off_The_Charts is on the right road...

One step at a time. One day at a time. One meal at a time.

There is something really amazing about finding your goal level and then eating and exercising at that level for an extended time. Your body slowly and grudgingly responds, adjusting itself in muscle mass, weight and healthfulness over a long period of time.

This is the method I have chosen... and it has taken a very long time. I had about 39 pounds to lose in total. Some people think that's nothing.... ...

Some people think that's nothing.... but I have never been able to lose it... not in many years. I am down now - by 23 pounds.... so I have 16 to go... For me, that is truly a miracle.

The last pounds become harder and harder to lose, but the rewards are great. I used to have a terrible time walking up hills - there was no energy.... Everything ached and hurt.

Today, I feel better than I have in 25 years. I am able to carry a heavy load of responsibility without feeling miserable about it. I am happy nearly all the time. I can hardly wait to see how I feel when I shed those last pounds. I know I can keep them off because I have changed my lifestyle.

Thanks for the goodie. I think during summer a lot of people spend less time on Spark People. I know all about getting up at 4:30. Max (now 15 weeks old) won't let me sleep any later. The llamas are humming, the dogs are barking, the chickens are clucking and the goats are fainting. All is well at Meyer Ridge Ranch. Hope you are having an awesome summer.
