I Love Being Old and Motivated to Be Healthier Than Ever!
I am 65 but I don't feel old. I want to have the energy and ability to do anything I put my mind to. I am changing into somebody who looks like I now feel, as a SparkPerson. My Goals:
TAKE WEIGHT OFF MY KNEE JOINTS, BE HEALTHY, LOOK BETTER IN CLOTHES = LOOSE WEIGHT! - Weigh less than 147 - un-obese weight for me. - Fit back into new clothes for my new body - get back to my yard - enjoy the challenges of my new job - get the whole house in shape
My Program:
I'm using the Nutrition Tracker to eat the right number of calories and the right balance of carbs, protein and fat. Walk at least 30 minutes every day. Go to the gym 5 days a week for cardio work. Work on gym machines 2 to 3 x a week. Participate in a fitness challenge to improve skills with gym stuff Spend 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, cleaning. Complete school work before maintaining and starting new projects.
Personal Information:
I live in southwest Ohio and I was a retired teacher. I recently started a part time reading resource teaching job. I still love to knit, read, watch TV - all sedentary. Since Spark, I have found a gym that I like and can afford. I have more energy than I can remember having for long time. I have a rescue dog named Gracie. a rescue cat named Jack and a foster-cat named Wendy who belongs to my daughter in grad school.
Other Information:
The job is great but, coupled with all the other things I do, it's been too much and I've been stressed to the max. So I'm in the process of dropping most of the volunteer stuff. I need to re-focus on my health.
