Time to Get Serious Again

My name is Topaz, and I am in the best shape of my life! I gained a lot of weight when I had my 2 children 2 years apart, but I didn't really know because we didn't have a full-length mirror and I never went out. When I saw a picture of myself, I knew I needed to make a change. I have lost 50 pounds since then. I joined a gym where they watch the kids for free while I work out. Yay! I hadn't lost any more weight for 3 months, when my favorite spinning instructor (who has been very encouraging) ...

I hadn't lost any more weight for 3 months, when my favorite spinning instructor (who has been very encouraging) asked me how much weight I had lost. This motivated my to say I would lose 20 pounds by September 1. So here we are. I just need to make it happen. I know I have gotten sloppy with my eating, and I can do better. I do love to work out, though. In February, I achieved my goal of being able to do a pull-up with no assistance!

My Goals:
Lose 20 pounds by September 1. Ugh, it sounds so shallow. I am very fit now and fairly happy with the way I look, but I think I can do more.

Hanging on the chinup bar, raise my toes as high as my head.

Each week, stop using one weight machine and substitute freeweights, until I do freeweights for everything.

My Program:
Eating- Now trying carb cycling. Seems to be working.

Exercise- Now trying to add cardio at home by biking with the kids in a trailer and mowing the lawn. Otherwise, I go to the gym about 6 days a week for an hour to an hour and a half. My main activities are rowing machine, spinning, running, weights for upper and lower body. Occasionally, I like to swim laps or do a step class. I would like to try taking yoga and biking outdoors.
