Taming the Beast
That's just a temporary title, which I stole from one of the great SparkPeople articles about overcoming emotional eating. I've let my overeating and underexercising Beast run rampant these past 5 months or so -- and it's definitely taken a toll. I just found out I have high blood pressure, at age 27! It's time for me to crack the ol' whip and get back in control of my Beast, with healthy eating (low-sodium and lots of fruits and veggies) and regular exercise as my primary goals.

My Goals:
Make my body happy and get healthy -- specifically, lower my blood pressure (by cutting down seriously on sodium, upping my fruits and vegetable intake, exercising regularly, and losing 30+ pounds).
My Program:
- Aim for between 500 and 1,500 mgs of sodium a day - Eat 7-10 servings of fruits and veggies each day, especially things high in potassium - Make an effort to get more calcium - Exercise (cardio 3-5x week, strength train 2x week) - Eat in a healthy calorie range for weight loss
