I was overweight for a long long time, like nearly 20 years. I finally had the perfect storm of stuff that lead me to getting healthy in 2008. I went from 204.6# on 1 Jan 08 to 148.8 on 2 Sept 08.

I maintained for over 3 years, but stress over the last several have led me to eating a lot of feelings and internalizing some very negative messages from a very bad job situation. It has taken me nearly 2 years to fight back from that internalized negativity and PTSD.

I have been at my new job for 19 months now and I finally feel like I have a solid floor on which I can begin to rebuild and get back on the path to the person I know I can be.

I had a good start, losing about 9# in the run up to the election, but I have gained about 15 since then.

I am originally from Florissant MO & lived in Columbia MO for over 20 years. Now living in Portland, OR. Also have lived in Kileen, TX, Blytheville AR and Germany.

I am an RN Medical Reviewer at a nonprofit managed medicaid insurance company. I was a public health RN in Missouri for 7 years. I'm also a nurse in the US Army Reserve.

I also love to knit, spin wool, scrapbook, read, listen to music, sing, camp, watch movies, etc.

    Hey lady!!! I'm back to Sparking....like BIGTIME...tracking my food once again! I still stink at the whole exercise thing, but I'm optimistic on changing that in 2017 now that I feel more in control! I think my success comes with being OCD with tracking everyday....and when I went completely off that, that is when everything this past year felt out of control and out of whack in all areas. Weird to state the correlation by typing it out, but it's a distinct correlation. ANYWHOOOO....I hope all is well! emoticon
