I'm sorry you've had a hospital stay. Did your cardiologist prescribe a cardiac rehab program? If so, be sure to do it. It's not just exercise but also learning about nutrition and all the other things that go along with caring for your heart. Have you seen a nutritionist/dietician? They can really help with learning what to eat. You will get used to the taste of lower fat but it takes a while. It's really important that you don't eat a huge amount of fat at one time--it can cause a stroke or heart attack. Both the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association have websites with lots of information and cookbooks for sale. I know the ADA had one with low-fat/low-calorie soul food recipes if that is what you are missing. Take care of yourself. It is hard, but it is worth it. Well it does sound like you've been busy. I'm happy to hear about your son's wedding and I have a few friends that are teachers so I know how hectic the school year can be, especially the beginning. I'm glad you are reaching out and have decided to keep pushing. I know it's disappointing when you regain weight but it's important to get back out there and get going again. I hope you have a great week ahead.
