A girl on a mission!

I've been through a lot and let's just say had to take the long road in life. During this long road in life I incidentally gained a lot of weight. I was depressed a lot, bored, lonely, scared, and the list went on. I've now been able to put myself together. I'm not attending college, got a great job, and doing well! I'm an artist and a harpist on the side and love coyotes :). I love to meet new people, interact and be social. I live in beautiful Maine and enjoy the ocean so much! I also take a ...

I also take a martial arts called Aikido, it's my love :3 I love it so much and enjoy it, and it provides a great workout! :)

Thank you for adding me as a friend! I am honored and feel privileged to be able to add you to my friends as well.

This will not be a quick journey my sparked-friend, but it will be a very rewarding one! You will find many forks in the road and you might falter - but I will be here to pick you up and help you back on track!

P.S. We all falter! The trick is to get back on track as soon as possible! The longer it takes you to get back on track, the harder to re-lose the weight. You really CAN do this!

I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!
