Glad your race went well! Next up: sign up for another one! Seriously! I find that increasing my protein, logging into SP every single day and making sure to get at least 15mins of exercise a day helps. Here's a list of short on time exercises, and see which ones you can fit into your lifestyle and time frames. Some exercise is definitely better than none.

I also track all of my food and have since November 1, 2010. It's a bit obsessive, but it helps. In terms of eating out with friends, I had to cut it out a lot. My former "team chunk" life was centered around going to bars and catching up over dinners out. I signed up for races, joined an adult softball team and finally got the dog that I wanted. This way, my life is centered around being active.

I also put my "before" pictures in a prominent place so that I'd see where I was. I use this calculator to see how many calories I need to eat to reach my goals: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_c

If you were driving to your destination, you'd make sure your car had gas, you'd get directions and then go. Same principal. You need a realistic plan. If you have a bad day, get up, shake it off and reqdjust your goals. You can do it, we're all rooting for you. emoticon

Hey! Glad to have you back! I've been doing pretty good, I have been running farther and am very proud of that emoticon . However, the farther I run, the hungrier I am, so the more I eat emoticon . So my latest challenge has been trying to balance calorie intake with increased exercise. I have gone over my calorie range a couple times but have attempted to do far runs and lower calorie days to balance. Im all about the balance emoticon hehheeh but I still hope to adjust eventually!

SO siked you are doing your 5K!! Best of luck, chica! Keep me posted on how you're doing!!! emoticon
