I'm looking forward to meeting some of you. YIM

I joined SP and have been pluging in what I eat and making sure I stay withing the calories suggested. I will start swimming, probably second week of Febrauary to also help meet my goal.
I have been married for 43 yrs, We have 2 beautiful adult daughters and 1 adult son in the military. We have 2 adult granddaughters and an almost adult grandson. And we have 2 great grandsons, 7 and 2. We are also blessed with a wonderful son (in law) a son-in-live and a daughter-in-law.

This poem I found was so beautiful that I had to share it with my prayer team mates! I hope that you guys enjoy this poem as much as i enjoyed it, b/c its so me an I do something like this every night I go to bed..
As I'm laying here in bed
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head
God bless my mom and dad
And bless my little pup
And look out for my brother
When things aren't looking up
And God, there's one more thing
I wish that you could do
Hope you don't mind me asking
But please bless my computer too?
Now I know that's not normal
To bless a mother board
But just listen a second
While I explain to you 'My Lord'
You see, that little metal box
Holds more to me than odds and ends
Inside those small compartments
Rest a hundred of my 'BEST FRIENDS'
Some it's true I've never seen
And most I've never met
We've never exchanged hugs
Or shared a meal as yet....
I know for sure they like me
By the kindness that they give
And this little scrap of metal
Is how I travel to where they live
By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you
I share in what life brings them
From that our friendship grew
"PLEASE" Take an extra minute
From your duties up above
To bless this scrap of metal
That's filled with so much love!

I was checking back to see how you are doing and I saw you had been "missing in action" but it looks like you are back on the FRONT LINE, so that is wonderful. Stay with this and DON'T QUIT.

This is what I think of you !
WINNERS take chances. Like everyone else, they fear failing, but they refuse to let fear control them.
WINNERS don't give up. When life gets rough, they hang in until the going gets better.
WINNERS are flexible. They realize there is more than one way and are willing to try others.
WINNERS know they are not perfect. They respect their weaknesses while making the most of their strengths.
WINNERS fall but they don't stay down. They stubbornly refuse to let a fall keep them from climbing.
WINNERS don't blame fate for their failures nor luck for their success.
WINNERS accept responsibility for their lives.
WINNERS are positive thinkers who see good in all things.
From the ordinary, they make the extraordinary.
WINERS believe in the path they have chosen, even when it's hard, even when others can't see where they are going.
WINNERS are patient. They know a goal is only worthy as the effort that is required to achieve it."

HELLO MY DEAR FRIEND, JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS GREAT POEM I FOUND WITH YOU ALL..
Anything is Possible
If there was ever a time to dare,
to make a difference,
to embark on something worth doing,
IT IS NOW.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily...
but for something that tugs at your heart,
something that's your inspiration,
something that's your dream.
You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around,
pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you
that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.
Because with an idea,
determination, and the right tools,
you can do great things.
Let your instincts, your intellect,
and your heart, guide you.
Believe in the incredible power of the human mind.
Of doing something that makes a difference.
Of working hard.
Of laughing and hoping.
Of lazy afternoons.
Of lasting friends.
Of all the things that will cross your path this year.
The start of something new brings the hope of something great, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
