Welcome back to the Around the World Swimming Challenge! I took a big spark break as well, and have been back for a month. I saw that you are on Lake Ontario. You might prefer to do the Amazon if you want company as there are more people over there and I'll be heading there after I finish the the English Channel this month. Aldana used to keep us all together on the same challenge, but it seems she is on a break now. So I thought I'd just pass that along. See you in the water.

thanks for the advice! i'm definitely trying to keep the cal intake at the original but i'm finding that for some reason i keep going over. not much but little by little. anyway i'm going to keep track of my weight and make sure that it doesn't start going up. thanks again!

Nice to meet you, Shannon. Yep. First thing I tried to do when I got to your sparkpage was look up your food tracker...what a resource to have studied the science of it all!!! Anyway, I totally understand that it's your JOB--why should you have to publish your personal eating...sort of like me having to publish a record of my parenting or housekeeping...NOT!!! Anyway, nice to meet you!

Hey Shannon! Wow! I'll take any tips on training that you can give me. Thanks for the encouragement! I registered with BegginerTriathlete.com last month and signed up for their mentor program. I found a group with a great mentor (he's an incredible motivator) and a bunch of people that are close to my own age. Our mentor gives us training tips and pretty much set up a plan for each of us. But I guess what worries me more then anything else, is the extra weight I'm still carrying. I seem to have plateau'ed my way to a complete stop. No matter how hard I work, the weight just won't drop. But I'll keep pluggin', hehe.

Hi Shannon! It was great to see your post on the Mobile Bay Challenge! WTG! I love to swim, bike and run too. (I've just registered for my first sprint triathlon and am so excited I can't stand it.) Welcome to Around the World Swimming Challenge. This is a great group of folks, and they will make you feel right at home.
