Hi, I am Meghan and in the Air Force. I have been amazed at my progress since switching to a Primal/Paleo lifestyle. I feel awesome and look so much better. Who knew weight loss could be so easy?
I have 4 children on earth and one little saint in Heaven.
My husband David has also begun this fitness journey with me. I am hoping that as a team we will succeed.
I August we decided to go 'paleo' and for the first time since 2005 I have seen a dramatic change in my weight and my appearance. For the first time I have lost inches from my waist, I am now at about 33.5 inches. I was over 41 inches in August. I wonder how much more I will lose?
My Goals:
MMy most recent goal is to get to 20% body fat!
My Program:
I follow a primal lifestyle. This means I eat real food, lots of veggies and fruits, meat and fat. I avoid processed and refined foods.
I exercise 3 times a week with cardio circuits and low and high intensity aerobic activities such as; bike, elliptical, running and walking.
Personal Information:

I started at 210 pounds when diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I was unable to lose a significant amount f weight eating the spark way. Then I discovered the Primal Blueprint and it changed my life.
My pictures speak volumes!
My before picture was taken 3.5 years after my diagnosis of hypothyroidism. It was at a time where I worked out 5-8 times a week and ate religously within my calorie range, eating 60% of my daily calories from carbs.
My during picture is after being 'primal' for just over a year. What a difference a ratio makes. Cutting out grains literally saved my life, and NO I do not have celiac disease!!!
Thank you for joining "The Air Force Family" spark team page ! We look forward to seeing your posts and appreciate your help in reaching our team goals.
Hi Meghan, I just read a comment that you posted on a blog back in March regarding cinnamon as a cure for belly fat. One of the things that I have been trying to tackle in my diet has been the amount of sugar I put in things. I have been thinking that maybe I should try recipes geared towards diabetics to see if that would help me. Now that I read your comment I will try that. while I am now losing wait my belly looks more noticeable. I will give the "sympathetic diabetic" diet a try.
