THIS IS IT!

I have decided that THIS IS IT! The last time that I intend to start over on this weight loss journey. I am so tired of feeling tired all the time, tired of the knee and back pain. I have been a yo-yo dieter for the past 25 years and now I realize that that has been my problem. I have been looking at this as a diet rather than a lifestyle change. So, today is the start of a new, healthier life!

5% Fall Challenge 2013: Follow Weight Watchers plan. Walk 10,000 steps 6 ...

5% Fall Challenge 2013: Follow Weight Watchers plan. Walk 10,000 steps 6 days/week using Fit Bit Flex to monitor,ride recumbent bike 3 times a week. strength training 3 days per week. I plan to be more active on Sparkpeople for this challenge and will post exercise and other challenges every day.

Lose 140 lbs.
Decrease knee pain.
Decrease the number of medications I take daily.
BP down to normal range.
Lower cholesterol to normal range.

My Program:
Eat daily point allowance per WW.
Walk 30 minutes a day 5 days a week (on treadmill or WATP dvds)
Strength training 3 days a week.
Weekly WW meeting and weigh-in.

I enjoy reading almost anything but especially mysteries and romantic suspense. Favorite TV shows: NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI (original and NY). I am an RN and was an Army nurse for 7 yrs.

emoticon to the Champions in the Kitchen and the 2015 Spring 5% Challenge! For me, Spring is a time of renewal, rebirth. Can't think of a more symbolic time to start a Challenge. They are such a great way to go after health and fitness goals and results, and the support is something special on the Champions.
