SIMPLY ME MAKEOVER

Just a little about me ... I'm a 40 year old single mother of 2 who has been putting the needs of everyone else before my own; and somewhere along the way ... I lost myself. Originally from NY, I moved to MD about 3 years ago which is where it all began.

Just a little about me ... I'm a 40 year old single mother of 2 who has been putting the needs of everyone else before my own; and somewhere along the way ... I lost myself. Originally from NY, I moved to MD about 3 years ago which is where it all began.

One day I woke up wondering how I let things get this out of control? Moving from the city to the suburbs was what I thought was best for my family and peace of mind; however, I didn't realize that the slow pace (and needing a car) would have such a drastic effect on me, my social life and my enthusiasm. So I supposed the best way to describe myself at the present moment is apprehensive. Hoping to change that in the very near future.

So that being said, I need this!! I need some type of support system to help me stay motivated because it's so hard. Especially when you know all of the right things to do; yet you don't do them whether out of laziness or just being afraid of change.

I need to pray more I know while asking for guidance, strength and direction, but because I want instant results .... I never stick to it.

This is where SP comes into play. I joined the Maryland team amongst others, hoping to go on walks, lunches and social gatherings together ... hopefully that will come to pass.

So I'm looking forward to embarking on this journey with all of you. I welcome any advise that anyone would like to offer as constructive criticism is accepted graciously. Thanks for the support and thank you all in advance for your time, inspiration and words of wisdom as we all conquer this weight 1 pound at a time.

My Goals:
Are to become as healthy as I possibly can without over doing it. To reduce my waist by 4-6 dress sizes. Currently a size 18 looking forward to fitting into a size 12/14 again.

My Program:
~ I will work on cutting out the white products in my diet.
~ Incorporating more fiber into my diet (women require at least 25 grams of fiber a day).
~ Try to eat more greek and probiotic yogurts w/fresh fruit when I feel the urge to snack.
~ Stop eating in the middle of the night (wake up around 2 everyday starving!)
~ Try to committ to exercising at least 3 days a week.

GOOD MORNING SP FAMILY. I KNOW IT HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I'VE SUBMITTED ANY POSTS OR BLOGS, BUT MY LAPTOP HAS CRASHED AND THIS PHONE IS A BIT WEIRD TO RECORD WITH TO SAY THE LEAST. JUST A QUICK UPDATE .... I HAVEN'T EXACTLY BEEN AS DILIGENT AS I'D LIKE TO BE AS THE WEATHER IS BEGINNING TO CHANGE; BUT I'VE BEEN MAINTAINING THE 257 WEIGHT FOR SOME TIME NOW. How have you been? So sorry that I haven't been by but I thought I had chosen u as a friend on my end and I kept looking for your pic in my friends list...but I found you. Yeah! I pray you had a great week and that you are moving forward no matter what. We can't always go by the scale because muscle does weigh more. I'm not able to do too much cardio at this time because of an accident but I am praying that I can. I make sure I work on strength. Well I'm glad I found you on my Core Rhythms team. A blessing from God. Enjoy the great weekend!!!
