Aloha!

I don't lack for information; I have troubles executing! I would like to walk away from cheese. Prepare fresh vegetables for myself more often. Actually enjoy fruit (meh.). Eat clean.

I would like to enjoy my jog while I'm doing it, instead of after I've finished. Work yoga into my schedule. Enjoy the B&A Trail with my dog more.

And while I'm at it, I want a pony, a red wagon, a toy rocket, and world peace.

There's no dramatic a-ha moments here; no ...

There's no dramatic a-ha moments here; no huge health issues. I'm one of those healthy 50-something fat chicks overcoming her own personal inertia: a body at rest tends to remain on the sofa while a body eating chocolate tends to keep eating chocolate. The time to act is now, before health issues arise as I get older.

My Goals:
1. Increase my energy and lose 10% of my weight.
2. Be able to run along the sea wall at the US Naval Academy without having to call the paramedics.

My Program:
Track my food intake, go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I'm using Run Your Butt Off (RYBO) to work up to 30 minutes of jogging at a pop.

Personal Information:
I live in scenic Crownsville MD, am married to an amazing man, am a SAHM with a teenage son.

I'm active in the music ministry at my church, and participate in Walking With Purpose women's Bible study.

Hi there!! Thanks for your comments regarding my blog! I wanted to touch base to let you know about the recipes that we use as you wanted more information. To be honest I have been sticking to recipes from Lisa Leake's blog 100 days of real food (http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/start-he
re/)

We usually use her crockpot recipes (she has an index online on her blog) or use her cook book! She makes eating whole foods easy and very tasty!! Hope that helps :) We're only two, she feeds a family of four and thats what the servings are based on - but you can adjust or make the full recipe and have leftovers! That's what we do - saves time! Her pulled pork and whole chicken recipes are delicious!! I'm sure I will branch out now that I have the Spark People Slow cooker app too!
