No mud, no lotus.

I saw this quote today. I think the author attributed it to Thich Nhat Hanh ó I should probably look it up, because I think Iíll be using it a lot.

Not everyone is familiar with how a lotus grows. It begins as a seed, dropped into the mud and muck of a pond bottom. Pond muck is dirty, slimy, smelly stuff -- but it is rich in what the seed needs in order to grow. In due time, the seed shell opens and a shoot begins to push its way through the mud. It is hard work, but the shoot gathers strength from the nutrients hidden in the mud.

I think we all want the lotus without the mud. I know I do. I want health without exercise and eating right. I want a beautiful and serene home without the housework. I want the words to flow effortlessly without having to go back and edit.

No mud, no lotus.

Love your Lotus/Mud quote. How true!

Welcome fellow FitBit user - I see you've joined the fitbit team here :) They're really friendly people so you should be welcomed in quickly when you throw your hat in the ring.

I've recently discovered FitBolt.com (free site) which is great since I work at a desk job and EarndIt.com (also free site) which allows you to earn rewards/give donations with the activity points that you automatically earn with your fitbit! What a great concept.

Anyhow, just stopping by and saying hello. If you also want to be friends on Fitbit, let me know :)

Welcome! If you need a shoulder, a friend or a virtual coffee at some point, drop by and say hello! I've just celebrated my SP ten month anniversary and am amazed at the absolutely incredible amount of support I've received. This is a fabulous site and you will be astounded at what you get out of it if you give it your all.

To celebrate your arrival at SP in this Summer season, I would like to wish you a everlasting renewal of energy and passion, for this is a time to celebrate the great potential you possess. May the sun shine upon you and fire up your heart to reach all of your goals and find joy in yourself and the world around you. Whatever battles you are fighting, whatever stresses may come your way, may you find energy, confidence, vitality and strength. This is the time to shine bright and show the world how beautiful you are. Embrace the summer-lit brilliance of each day and you will create a new life where all your wildest dreams come true. ~ Michelle
