Notty Dotty Trimming down from 181 to 145

My name is Dotty and I am 64 yrs old. I am a Mom, Grandma and now a Great Grandma. I retired early due to health problems and cortisone Meds have caused me to gain way too much weight. Now I need to get rid of it. I hope this program and diet will help .....I have never needed or been on a diet before...so here goes....With God's help and my obedience this can be and will be done.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose at least 40 lbs of this 181lbs by June 2010. Not only for health reasons but also for my family. I want to be here to watch all of my grandchildren and now 3 great grandchildren grow up.

My Program:
I watch my diet closely and try to get lots of fiber and low fat...It is hard for me to get enough calories though for the day. I work out at home on Moday, Wednesdays and Fridays...but am not too regular about it...Need to get firmer on my self.

Personal Information:
I am 64 years old, happily married with two grown daughters, two grown granddaughters and two not so grown grandsons. I now am blessed with a great granddaughter and two great grandsons.. I am a born again christian and believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and also believe in once saved always saved. My name is etched in the palm of His hand...and cannot be erased......PTL

Other Information:
My favorite book is the Bible. I do not watch much TV so don't really have any special shows except occasional documentaries. I love doing cross word puzzles. My Mother and I share a home and I am blessed to be her caretaker, as she was once mine. Mom is 88 years young and even does exercises with me at times. My oldest Granddaughter, Tamra and her husband are in Germany. Her hubby, Javoris is in the army and they have a son 23 months old and a baby boy 9 months old. So , yes, they do have their kids real close together. Javoris has been in Iraq twice now and Afghanastan twice.. Please keep him and all other military people in your hearts and prayers. My other granddaughter, Shelly, has a little girl, Alysia, who is four years old. Alysia is my first Great Grandchild. God is so good to us and has blessed our family abundantly.

Hi Sweet Lady of mine... I was just reading my blogs and saw you had comment in the one I posted reguarding adjusting to my meds. You know.. no I haven't told my Dr. I lost all that wt. when I started seeing this Dr. I had already lost most of the wt. I was probably in my last few pounds. Well, he is trying to help me on this but as of yet no luck. I'll ask him about my wt. loss next time I see him it'll be in 2 wks. Thx Dotty for your concern. Luv ya! Hugs....

In answer to your question, my husband is going to Scotland with me. But keep him in your prayers, as he's having lots of pain in his back (had an operation a year ago)...and he just said that if he can't make it because of the pain, he still wants me to go. Obviously, I want to be with him on this trip! So, hopefully, he'll be feeling better by the end of the month. emoticon
