Keeping things Simple with the NoS diet (except I do count calories)!!

On September 1, 2015, I started a program and here I am 3 months later... still going strong. I started with Portion Control first (cut portions and started counting calories). After about 2 months, I decided to try something more, so I committed to the full NoS Diet concept. So far, so good.

NoS is simple! No Snacks, No sweets, No Seconds. I am enjoying the success I have had since 9/1/15 (~23.4 lbs). I know I need to add more consistent exercise, which is a major challenge for ...

NoS is simple! No Snacks, No sweets, No Seconds. I am enjoying the success I have had since 9/1/15 (~23.4 lbs). I know I need to add more consistent exercise, which is a major challenge for me... so that is my goal for this coming year! I need to add an exercise routine to my new lifestyle!

Welcome to the No S team. I'm coming up on my 6th anniversary.

No rule against tracking calories, though we don't talk about it much on the team since there are so many other places on Spark to do that. Please be cautious about sticking to such a low calorie count. No S recommends stepping down to less food as your appetite changes. Even Judith Beck, from whom I get a lot of my psych techniques, says there are many other skills to get down before trying to stick to any set calorie reduction plan. Plus, it is almost impossible to go back to higher calorie intake without gaining. Eating 1200 calories permanently has an extremely low success history! The internet and media make it look more possible because it can filter out all the failures.

Did you get to the original site? There is also a book. It's not necessary, but is useful. I got my first copy from the library but now I have two: one to read and one ready to give away.

It's a great way to live! emoticon

What would you attempt, if you knew you could not fail?
