Changing Perspective from Weight Loss to Healthy Forever

My babies are 8 years and 6 years old. They are my world. I am overweight with BMI of 28. I feel uncomfortable in my clothes, sluggish, and old. I am a Registered Dietitian. I know how to eat healthy and exercise. It is time to practice what I preach, and get healthy for myself and my family.

I have never had a problem with weight loss before, so I have never had to closely monitor what I eat. I have always exercised and been fit, until my first child was born. I have struggled with anorexia and bulemia, but that is long ago in the past. Besides the weight loss, one of my goals is to establish a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

**Added 2/4/14 It is time to change perspective from losing weight for cosmetic reasons to increasing health and fitness for longevity and disease prevention.
